Astrology is said to be inacurrate in the Southern Hemisphere, and houses to be nigh inconstructable at the poles. I already did awesome with Johndro’s sign rulership applied to St. Rose of Lima, who was born in South America. This time, we are using Whole Sign house system with Johndro in Antarctica.
This was a tricky chart to create. SolarFire doesn’t have a selection for Antarctica, and neither does Astro.com. The Internaional World Atlas doesn’t include Antarctica. Campion’s World Horoscopes doesn’t either. To make matters worse, personally, I somehow don’t have an ephermeris covering the 1940s. Many of my Tables of Houses don’t cover the Southern latitudes, either. So, I manually input the coordinates in SolarFire for Orcadas Base, and then had to screw around with making sure it got the TimeZone and angles correct. Antarctica not being in these otherwise exhaustive sources shows astrologers feel they can’t accurately use astrology there.
However, I use Whole Signs for the houses, and that does not have the problems at the poles. Whole signs simply count 30 degrees from the 0 degree of the Ascendant sign to create Houses. That divides the sky into equal houses of 30 degrees for each sign. It does not matter where you are.
The first Catholic mass in Antarctica was February 20, 1946. Fr. Felipe Lerida, a Jesuit priest, performed the mass and installed an eight foot cross at the Stella Maris chapel. The mass was said to have been performed around midnight. A telegram was later sent to Pope Pius XII to tell of the event.
There are a few ingresses on the chart. Ingresses mark a new cycle. So, something is changing. The Sun has entered Pisces this day. 0 Pisces is Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Mercury. “Eternal (Sun) Mystery (Pluto) in Icey (Neptune) Landscape (Saturn) Announced (Mercury).” or “Day (Sun) Deserted (Pluto) Ice (Neptune) Sacrament (Saturn) Preached (Mercury).” Juno is the other ingress, trining the Sun. This allows “sacrament” or “Priest” to be added to the mix, since Juno is Saturnian. Juno is in the first half of Scorpio, which is ruled by Saturn. So, we can write something like this: “Eternal (Sun) Sacrament (Juno) Enters (Saturn/Scorpio) Icey (Neptune) Landscape (Saturn) Announced (Mercury).”
The mass was performed at Orcadas Base in Antarctica. As, I said above, I cannot find charts for Antarctica and its territories. So, I made a chart for the base it was done at. Turns out that the mass was done during a solar return for the base. This shows the base being highlighted and an important event for it. This also adds a second Sun factor to the placement read I did. “Day” is a simple add, or another God attribute.
The major aspect I see in the transits is the Moon squaring Saturn and Mars. The Moon is in Libra, ruled by Saturn. Mars and Saturn are in Cancer, ruled by Mars. “Bread (Moon) Sacrament (Saturn/Libra) Performed (Mars) by Intrepid (Mars/Cancer) Priest (Saturn).” The Mars and Saturn conjunct are on the Descendant of the event. Angles are timers showing important events.
Uranus is nine hours from stationing, when this mass is performed. Stations are powerful. A station is the stars pausing as something happens. For the outer planets, the effects are a disruption in the energy to earth. Uranus is paused in aspect with the Moon, Mars, and Saturn listed above. “Miraculous/Transformed (Uranus) Bread (Moon) Sacrament (Saturn/Libra) Performed (Mars) by Intrepid (Mars/Cancer) Priest (Saturn).” Uranus is the planet of miracles and transformation, both which describe the Eucharist being Jesus.
The previous eclipse was a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse path was over Antartica. This eclipse was at 13 Capricorn, trined by the stationed Uranus and opposing Mars in the same aspect pattern we’ve been going over.
There was also another partial solar eclipse in the same series also. This one was close to Antarctica.
Eclipse paths show where a significant event is to occur. These paths show something to happen in Antarctica. The January 3 eclipse a 13 Capricorn can spell “Eternal Savior Performs Godly Transformation.” Or “Day Catholic Performs Godly Transformation/Miracle.” This was an important event, because it marks when Jesus was brought to the ends of the earth. Today, the Southernmost religious structure is the underground ice chapel, 800 miles from the South Pole. It is known as Chapel of Our Lady of Snows and is under the archdiocese of Blahai Blancha, Buenos Aires.
