The Prenatal Chart of St. Rita
An Addendum
An obvious question is whether St. Rita’s given birthdate I found, May 22, 1381, is authentic. Often with these old saints, their birthdate is said to be the same as their death date. It is an ancient tradition that people of prominence died on their birthdates.
My way of confirming birth dates is to create a conception chart and progress to the death date. The conception chart is usually used for rectification of birth hours when off by a few minutes or an hour. I can do this with St. Rita since I’m sure she was born a Venus/Moon conjunct and timed her birth chart for that given the two were in the same sign for this birth date.
[A quick note about the Venus/Moon conjunct: Hagiographies often lack emotion. St. Rita’s reads with the only emotions being sadness and resignation to penance. Rita must have been a happy, laughing, pleasant woman. It is impossible for a Venus/Moon girl to be otherwise. This is some of what astrology can reveal about the saints. St. Rita was a pleasant, beautiful woman who laughed easily. It is a shame this was lost to history.]
This is her natal chart rectified with the conception chart. It still shows a close Moon/Venus conjunction. It was corrected by ten minutes.
This is her conception chart:
Natal horoscopes do not show the sex of the subject. The prenatal chart does. Bailey formulated astrological laws to show this. I am not repeating them here, but answering the question of sex on Rita’s chart. Her Ascendant, 10 Scorpio, falls in the orb of a male native. Her Moon falls in the orb of a female native. Thus, according to Law of Sex, we determine the sex through the Moon’s placement. Rita’s prenatal moon is in the NorthEast quadrant of the chart, thus she is female. This helps confirm the prenatal chart to be authentic.
THE PROGRESSED CHART
I use a secondary progression from the prenatal chart to her time of death and biwheel it with the conception chart. Her progressed moon (from conception) is opposing Prenatal’s Pluto: “Gone (Pluto) Girl (Moon).” The progressed Saturn trines Prenatal’s Sun: “End (Saturn) Life (Sun).” This confirms the conception chart, and thus the given birthdate as authentic.
Doing the same with the natal chart: We still have the Moon/Pluto opposition, but now also have her Saturn in opposition with the progressed Sun and Moon signaling a death. Of note: Progressed Sun is sesquisquare natal Juno. And progressed Saturn is semisextiling her Medium Caeli and Juno.
Thus, the given biographical birth date appears authentic via progressing the conception chart.
