The Energy of the Planets hit East Palestine hard
This is the first of my Mundane Astrology event articles I will post. Nothing to do with saints and miracles, but those are deep dives and I wish to keep this blog alive.
Contemporary astrologers love to check the charts for significant events in their lives. Laptop failed, injured, lost a job or got a job? Time, then, to check what the sky was doing at that precise instant. There’s always something interesting to see. Sometimes it’s something so dead-on you can’t unsee the profound influence the celestial bodies had on it.
With the train crash in the confusingly named city of East Palestine, Ohio, there is one star that looks to have been responsible for the whole thing. Although stars are more or less fixed in their relative positions in the sky, they become significant when a planet moves into conjunct with that star. In this instance, we have an infamous Royal Watcher star conjunct.
Mars is in perfect conjunct with Aldebaran. Aldebaran is associated with Mars and “folly” and “violent death.” This is doubly so when the star is conjunct with Mars — Aldebaran’s full Martian energy comes to bear and potentiates Mars’ malefic nature. Mars is also associated with engines, which is fitting for a train disaster.
Mars also sesquisquares Pluto while sextiling Chiron. A Mars/Pluto sesquisquare, on a normal natal chart, would show trauma regarding those aspects and signs. With these two being malefics in this aspect at this time, I would point to that as being part of the disaster’s cause, along with Aldebaran.
Chiron in Aries signifies a reopening of wounds regarding government, leadership, and technological innovations with a demand for correction. This is where Chiron will remain for the next few years. As I wrote in my previous article, this is part of the upcoming political change and upheaval that will come in the next few years. When looking at this chart, Chiron is in the First House. These frustrations and problems with the government are soon to manifest physically. Thus, rather than wounds about communication troubles, for example, you’ll get a disaster like this. The disaster is going to be about and reveal problems with the US government.
Chiron also semisquares Saturn. This shows a block and repression of issues. There is a severe lack of media and government acknowledgement of this disaster. Most startling is that, unlike most other accidents and disasters, there is no scapegoat ordained by the media as blameworthy. The entire incident is glossed over. This is Chiron square Saturn energy — a refusal to acknowledge your wound.
Aldebaran conjunct Mars combined with Aries Chiron shows a violent disaster regarding government incompetence that will continue to be ignored.
SIBLY CHART
On the Sibly chart, Mars is in 7th House showing a public relations disaster and harm to the public. It sits on USA’s Descendant and opposes Ascendant, further showing harm to the people. Mars is also conjunct Uranus which represents trains and rails, as well as explosions. Mars is also about epidemics and poison and the like, in mundane astrology.
It’s worth noting, too, that the transit’s medium caeli is conjunct US’s Mars.
Sun is in 3 showing where the major event is: Transportation. Saturn is conjunct Moon, also in House 3. Here, Saturn is infrastructure but conjunct the home in House 3. It is likely causing a malefic influence on the homes of people concerning this rail disaster.
OTHER USA CHARTS
I do not like Mars in US’s 7 for this disaster. National birth charts are all in question. After all, when is a nation created? The US had a few potential birth dates. The popular Sibley chart goes with the Declaration of Independance. Others say the Articles of Confederation. Others say the Constitution. Or, perhaps, we should be looking at the colonies and Mayflower.
For, this, I was trying to get Mars in a place that made more sense for this disaster. I’m not sure how much this disaster is hurting the US’s public relations. I looked at other potential charts and they were all Placidius and so screwed with where I thought Mars would land. But, they are still interesting. I present them here for other looks. All these charts are valid US birth charts that are used.

Here, Mars and MC are in House 5 (schools, children, and amusement). Makes no sense. However, Mars is now at inconjunct with Natal Mars in 12 (toxins). So, that does work. Transit Uranus is maleficing House 4, as well.
CONSTITUTION RATIFICATION
This doesn’t give much difference, as far as I’m concerned. In fact, I would call it a weaker chart for this disaster. Not only is Mars in an irrelevant House, but also there are no tight aspects hitting anything relevant.
However, something quite interesting on these two charts: The Plutos are now in House 12. Poisons and epidemics. That is a new perspective on these constant toxic diasters we’ve been having lately. On the Sibley Chart, the Plutos are hitting Houses 2 and 3 (resources and transportation). On the document ratifying charts, the Capricorn/Aquarius Pluto is hitting 12 and 1: Toxins and Identity. House 12 is also about secret socities, criminal activity, prisons, the occult, and hospitals. This is a new, interesting perspective on this Plutonic cycle. Let’s see how it plays out.
