Interview with author of the book; Analysis of Amorth's chart
This episode of The Flowered Path is an interview with an expert on Gabriele Amorth. He talks about Amorth and exorcisms and Catholicism.
We do not discuss astrology in this episode, but, I will do it here.

Since Ian did such a good job, I will just focus on some interesting points.
Amorth’s Mars is in the 9th House. According to Firmicus Maternus, if Mars is in the 9th House “[the Native] will be feared by all demons and at their approach depraved spirits will flee. They free possessed men, not by their words, but only by their appearance. Any violent demon, either of air or earth or from the underworld, who shakes the body of a man - at the order of that man he flees, and is terrified by his pronouncements. These men are called exorcists. The native who has Mars in the Ninth House will thus easily be able to free suffering mankind from all malevolent demons.1”
Uranus and Mars are in perfect square. Uranus is “exorcisms.” Thus, “Performs (Mars) Exorcisms (Uranus).” Mars, is at 24 Gemini: Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune. “Famous (Jupiter) Jocular (Venus) Catholic (Neptune) Performs (Mars) Exorcisms (Uranus).” Or: “Catholic (Neptune) Young Man (Venus) Performs (Mars) Exemplery (Jupiter) Exorcisms (Uranus).” Uranus is at 24 Pisces: Pluto, Pluto, Pluto, Neptune. “Catholic (Neptune) Exorcises (Uranus) Evil (Pluto) Demons (Pluto) of Hell (Pluto).”
Amorth’s chart shows an exorcist. A powerful exorcist, as demonstrated by the 9th House placement. His Mars and Uranus placements and aspecting each other also create the chart of an exorcist. A cursory look at his Sun (conjunct Venus, Amorth was a jocular man) can also show an exorcist, but one who wrote books. Mercury, Uranus, and Mars are the rules of 10 Taurus. “Writing (Mercury) of Exorcism (Uranus) Battles (Mars).”
Gabriele Amorth is certainly an intersting figure who merits more astrological investigation. I will be writing of him more as I go through his books and books of him.
Also, the recent movie of him was awesome and I can’t wait for the sequel.
