Flowered Path 32: Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
My first Flowered Path episode as a co-host
Timothy Renner will be having me on as a co-host. I have also been writing and creating episodes for him.
St. Therese is someone I have been wanting to astrologically investigate for some time, along with other saints of more “ordinary holiness” (a term to differentiate mystic and miracle worker saints from those who were holy without miracles in their lifetime, as well as from martyrs). For right now, I will note some Venus aspects on her chart.
There is a parallel between her Venus and Moon. Parallels behave as a conjunct. Venus is associated with flowers. St. Therese is known as “The Little Flower” and often leaves behind roses as her calling card in miracles. So, “Flower (Venus) Woman (Moon).” Venus/Moon conjuncts and parallels are also known for marking “Beautiful (Venus) Women (Moon).” St. Therese died in her 20s leaving a beautiful corpse behind as well as numerous cute photos of herself, taken by her sister. Much more can be said about the Venus/Moon aspect. It also creates someone of a pleasant demeanor who gets along with everyone (Venus governs charsma). This is a naturally charismatic person.
Another Venusian aspect is between Venus and Neptune. They are at a 0 degree sextile. Again, I note it because Venus is about flowers. Here, Neptune is not only about spirituality and visions, but also it is the planet for Catholicism. So, it is an aspect that can be predicted, astrologically without viewing the chart. She is the flower saint of Catholicism.
Much more can be said (observe the Saturn aspects for suffering). But, I did not plan on writing my Therese article, now. I do not like to investigate and write about saints without something more than a birth chart read, unless I plan on the article being about a blind read rather than proving or showing something new.
