Eugenie and the TransNeptunians
Another look at the Princess living with the dead
The transneptunians of Uranian astrology, and the asteroids show a life devoted to the dead. I wrote of Eugenie von der Leyen in an earlier post. She is the German princess who was tormented by ghosts and spirits all day and night. She prayed for them, understanding them to be the souls of Purgatory. This is a Catholic practice to bring souls from Purgatory into Heaven to become saints. As she prayed for the ghosts, their apperance and manner would become less grotesque and violent, they will gain the ability to speak more, and slowly become light filled spirits announcing their entrance into Heaven. But, until that happens, the spirits would be pestering her, abhorrent, and sometimes violent. Some appeared as snakes, shadow figures, and even bigfoot (notably, this is 1920s Germany. No one is talking about bigfoot). The latter gradually lost its hair and became more human like before entering Heaven as an angelic being. Timothy Renner and Octavian have been covering Eugenie’s experiences on Patron episodes.
Here is her chart with all the objects identified with ghosts and the dead:
Vulcanus conjunct Mercury square Hades. Vulcanus conjunct Mercury shows a compulsion to speak. The square with Hades shows she is driven to speak for the dead.
She has her Ascendant conjunct, the asteroid, Orpheus 3361. Astrologically, Orpheus is about a focus on mourning and death. Conjunct her Ascendant, it shows she devotes herself to the Dead.Orpheus is the man who lead his dead girl out of the Underworld. This is the task of the Catholic devoted to the dead, “the Poor Souls of Purgatory.” It is exactly what Eugenie was doing with the dead: She prayed for them, and did other sacramental acts, for the purpose of leading them from the Underworld (Purgatory) to Heaven. This is an aspect that also shows someone “living with death.” Interestingly, it has also shown people who almost died when they were born. This may have been true of Eugenie, as well.
Her Ascendant and Orpheus are square her Medium Caeli/Uranus conjunct. Medium Caeli and Uranus are at 3 to 5 Cancer: Mars, Neptune, Saturn, Venus. “Ressurecting (Uranus) Tortured (Mars) Dead (Saturn) into Heaven (Neptune) with Love (Venus).”
Orpheus and her Ascendant are trine Hades (the transneptunian of Uranian astrology). This aspect shows an interest in deaths, especially those that happened in the past. This is another aspect showing her devotion to the Dead. Mercury is also trine Hades showing communication with Hades.
Mercury is in quindcile with Saturn, what Al Morrison terms a “Johndro aspect,” and Hekate (an asteroid, Hekate 100, the 100th asteroid to be discovered). Both orbs are less than one degree. Mercury and Saturn is “Communicating with the dead.” The 165 aspect is of Jupiter, Jupiter, (East Planet) Saturn, and Uranus (West Planet). So, we can read the aspect as “Saying (Mercury) Goodly (Jupiter) Prayers (Jupiter) to Dead (Saturn) in Underworld (Saturn) for their Ressurection (Uranus).” The same can be read with the degrees of the two planets. Saturn is at 20 Scorpio. The rulers there are: Uranus, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus. “Pleading (Mercury) for Ghosts (Pluto) to Transform (Uranus) Ressurect (Uranus) into Heaven (Neptune).” Notably, Mercury is also in trine with Juno (a Mercurial and Uranian aspect). Juno I have identified as a Saturnian object. Thus, Juno is of the Dead as well and this is another aspect showing communication with the Dead.
Hekate is of night and dreams. An aspect with Mercury shows communications at night of particular importance. Most of Eugenie’s communications with the dead were at night, and were of such intensity that she couldn’t sleep (the ghosts would beat and attack her, at times, or have such terrifying apperances she couldn’t sleep). Hekate is associated with ghosts, according to Martha Lang-Wescott. These aspects hold up, especially with Hekate at a conjunct with Eugenie’s Moon. Moon is “night” and “seeing.” If we call Hekate “ghosts” we have “Nightly specters” or “Seeing ghosts.”
